Jabalpur, a city in Madhya Pradesh on the Narmada River, is the third-biggest city in the state and one of India’s largest. It’s the center of Jabalpur district and division and the state’s judicial capital with the Madhya Pradesh High Court housed here. Jabalpur is also the West Central Railway headquarters and a major military base for five states. The city is famous for the beautiful marble rocks on the Narmada River at Bhedaghat. Nicknamed “Sanskardhani” meaning “The Cultural Capital,” it was chosen as one of India’s first smart cities.
